NORDIC/BALTIC PARTNER MEETING. PRAGUE.
Background
Sony Nordic had decided to merge the national divisions into one united Nordic / Baltic organization. Accordingly, Sony wished to introduce a new strategy to their key retail partners.
The most important business partners from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania were invited for a two-day meeting – a total of 100 participants. In order to ensure everybody’s full attention during the meeting, it was decided to conduct the event in a country in which none of the participants resided or worked. In this way, all participants were away from their desks and everyday settings. TCC recommended Prague. The meeting was determined for early June and its climate as well as the short travel distance made Prague an ideal city for the event.

Solution
Due to the relatively small number of participants, we decided to find a hotel with in-house meeting facilities rather than an actual large-scale conference center. We chose Hilton Prague Hotel which has a great view of the river and neighbors the old town of Prague. In addition, the hotel disposes of multiple breakout rooms and a large high-ceilinged congress hall offering great facilities for plenum presentations and branding.
The attendees arrived from their respective countries early in the morning. TCC had arranged Meet & Greet in Prague Airport and transfer to the hotel where we had set up a separate welcome and check-in area with coffee / tea, fruit etc.
Following a light lunch, the meetings commenced. At 5 p.m. it was time to explore Prague. The attendees were picked up by busses and transported to a cruise on the Moldau River. The river offers spectacular views of the beautiful city including the impressive Prague Castle and the famous Charles Bridge. During the cruise, a guide informed us of the city’s history and the different buildings and monuments we passed on our way. When the boat moored, an additional five guides were ready to guide the delegates through the old city to the distinguished Francouzska restaurant where the evening’s gala dinner took place. Various honors were awarded during the dinner and the atmosphere peaked when a Czech singer went ‘on stage’.
The next morning, the meetings continued until noon where the attendees thanked for a fruitful and memorable two-day meeting over a good-bye lunch. The partner seminar provided Sony’s sales reps with many valuable hours in company with the company’s most important customers.
